Every kid's best friend, the ever-smiling Modhesh (launched in 2000) is the brand mascot for DSS. Derived from an Arabic word meaning 'amazing,' Modhesh represents everything that DSS stands for - fun, excitement and unlimited joy for everyone, especially children. He celebrated his 10th anniversary on a grand scale in 2009.
Every year Modhesh spreads his infectious smile to children that are ill. He travels around the region visiting children's hospitals. Last year, Modhesh visited Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and the United Kingdom. This year he will travel yet again to distribute gifts, treats and many warm hugs. Modhesh also has a friends club, created in 2004, for his legion of young followers.
